This article deals with the concept of quantum computing which is a combination of computer science, quantum physics and some concepts from bringing together ideas from classical information theory, computer science, and quantum physics.
There are certain Experimental methods that now a days are being used for small technologies which basically have major concentration on the ion traps and also the superconducting cavities, they also include the Nuclear magnetic resonance imaging-based techniques, and quantum dots. For example “Where a calculator on the ENIAC ( Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) developed in 1946 is equipped with 18000 vacuum tubes and weighs 30 tons, the upcoming computers (predicted in the next 110 years) in the future may have only 1000 tubes and weigh only 1 1/2 tons” Popular Mechanics.
This might come as a surprise for all but the fact is “Tomorrow’s computer might well resemble a jug of water”.This is not a joke because Quantum computing is into use now and whatever was predicted two decades back is reality today and is the future of computing in the next years. Quantum computing is the advanced level.
The advanced lithographic (Stone Age) techniques have squeezed the wide logic gates and wires on the silicon surfaces and in the near future they will develop even smaller parts and reach up to a level where the logic gates will be made from a handful of atoms. This will all be done with quantum technology in the future.
Quantum physics has the capability to generate evolutionary and revolutionary developments in information technology. Both have their own importance in terms of IT. This would enable future of QIT to perform tasks which can never be thought in ordinary IT.
